The Shefa School is seeking a Hebrew Teacher to serve as a Leave Replacement in the Lower and Middle School. This is full-time, temporary position beginning January 3, 2022 and ending in June 2022 that could potentially lead to a permanent position for the 2022-2023 school year.

The Leave Replacement Hebrew Teacher will be responsible for developing curriculum and teaching Hebrew as a second language. In addition to developing curriculum and delivering instruction, the leave replacement teacher will be responsible for assessing student learning, managing classroom routines and behavior, communicating regularly with families, and collaborating with other faculty

The ideal candidate will have a native or near-native level of fluency in Hebrew, depth of training and expertise in teaching Hebrew as a second language and experience using multisensory Orton-Gillingham instruction and in working with students with language-based learning disabilities. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and comfort with risk-taking and ambiguity.
